There are many charities that accept furniture donations. You can locate many of them by searching your local yellow pages. Some will even pick up your unwanted furniture! The most important thing to do is to call first to make sure that the charity is currently accepting donations of furniture. Some charities to donate furniture to include:

• Goodwill Donation Centers will accept your new or gently used items — like furniture. They then will sell them in one of the Goodwill retail stores. The sales help fund job training and other career services.
