Furniture Donations
If you have a used sofa, kitchen table, child’s desk or other type of furniture in good condition that you no longer want, donate it to a worthy cause. Doing this helps people in need and often generates income for a charitable organization. While some furniture donations go directly to needy persons others are sold in thrift stores or auction sites as a means of providing revenue to help cover the expenses of the charity.
Always make certain any furniture you donate is in usable condition. If the piece is badly damaged, broken or heavily stained throw it away. If a piece is gently used or has minor damage or a few spots give it a new life in a home where it is wanted and needed.
