Mission of the Foundation

The foundation provides funds to bring attention to how environmental concerns directly impact the health of low income individuals, indigenous populations, and minorites.
The Forward Fund program is centered on improving the world's clean energy sources and providers. This program invests in programs, projects, organizations, and strategies geared towards innovating clean energy.
Through the Partnership Grant program, the foundation provides grants to organizations in foreign countries to combat coal and fossil fuel pollution.
Horse Camp at Mt. Shasta
Shasta Alpine Lodge is a climbers' hut at Horse Camp located within the Mount Shasta Wilderness of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. It is a popular base camp for climbers and hikers on Mount Shasta. The foundation owns the property and operates the lodge. The lodge is a seasonal source of fresh water and also serves as an emergency shelter.
