Do you want to brighten the Christmas season for a child or two in Michigan? If so, consider giving to the Michigan Toys for Tots program this holiday season. The program is designed to assist those in need so that they can enjoy the holiday season through the generous donations from the community where they reside.

Giving to Toys for Tots in Michigan

The Marine Toys for Tots collects unwrapped, new toys for needy children. They collect them during the last three months of the year to have them ready to distribute mainly in communities with Marine Corps Reserve Units or Marine Corps League Detachments for the holidays. If a community has a group or nonprofit that is authorized by the organization to run a Toys for Tots campaign, toys may be collected and distributed there as well. If you have a business, you can make it a Toys for Tots drop-off location. To explore this option, simply visit the information page at the Toys for Tots website. The first step in the process is to contact a local coordinator who will be able to help you with the process.

Finding Donation Centers

If you live in Michigan, there are several opportunities for giving to Toys for Tots. To find the nearest toy donation center to your home, visit the Toys for Tots Search Page. Select Michigan from the drop-down list and then search by county or choose the "Locate Campaigns on a Map" button to search by zip code. You'll get the name or names of the coordinators, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and fax numbers.

If you can't find a location close to your home, consider donating money online. You can make it a recurring gift or just donate once. You can also donate in honor of someone special or in memory of a loved one.
